This is my 2nd class I've taken at Digitrain and I plan on taking even more. They are great instructors and is well worth the trip (time & money) to get this quality of education. Nothing in Tulsa compares to it and I will be back.

This course helps you understand Director's role in producing a multimedia or Internet presentation, what skills and tasks are necessary for producing a Director show, and gives you the skills needed to create a linear presentation and an interactive presentation.

After completing this course you will be able to:
- Import media elements (graphics, sound and digital video)
- Use the cast window to organize imported media
- Import text and understand how fonts are handled cross platform when using font cast members
- Understand the score and how animations are created using the score
- Create animations, including animated text slides, moving graphics, and film loops
- Adjust various playback settings such as movie Tempo, Stage Size and Color, and Default Color Palette
- Use sounds and transitions to add impact
- Use Behaviors to control playback, including adding interactivity
- Create and use Labels to identify different sections of a movie
- Understand ink modes and how they affect visual appearance and playback performance
- Create cyclical animations using Exchange Castmember, Cast to Time and Film Loops
- Understand the difference between cast members and sprites
- Understand how sprites are layered on the stage
- Create a Playback only and a Shockwave version of a completed movie
- Understand cross-platform issues between Macintosh and Windows
- Create a project consisting of multiple movies, and learn how to package files for CD-ROM playback

- Great facility and classroom set-up. I especially liked the teacher reference monitor on each student table. That way I didn't have to refocus from my monitor to the teacher's monitor!
