I have learned 14 programs in training centers throughout the United States over the past year and I would rate Digitrain not only the highest in facility accomodations, but even greater in instructor technique. I have been trained by some of the greatest people around, but have discovered that not everyone who is an instructor understands how to teach others properly. Virginia, by far, has the greatest understanding of how a class with this much information given in such a short amount of time should be taught. I would come back to Digitrain on her abilities alone. Thanks again!

Adobe Photoshop

Virginia was excellent - one of the best instructors I have ever had. She was patient and could relate any lesson to real world experiences. I would come back for another class just to be taught by her.
I would specify Virginia for all future classes. She presents the information well and at a pace that is comfortable yet interesting. Her real-life experience is a big factor in teaching what works and doesn't work in a practical world.
I expected the class and the instructor to be good based on the comments on the website, and coworker's comments. I absolutely was not prepared for the level of excellence that was given. No doubt, the best, most immediately applicable training I've ever received on any software. Virginia is incredible.

This is the first computer class I have taken where the instructor provided ample time to ask questions, practice new techniques, & truly absorb the material. Additionally, Virginia watched the students and went to help them based on their body language, which helped those students that may have been shy about asking questions. Excellent! Adobe Dreamweaver

She (the instructor) made everything very simple and easy to understand. She is probably one of the greatest teachers I have come across. She was very responsive to all the questions we had as a class. I would take a class with her again any time and will recommend her to several other people.

Great class. It was what I needed to feel that I had a firm foundation for this application. I learned Adobe GoLive on the fly; I never felt like I got as much out of that product because I just didn't know the fine points. This class was thorough. Joan was very clear in her instructions. Adobe Flash

Tom was fantastic!! I really enjoyed taking his class, he was very engaging and kept everyone on task. He was honest about answering questions and the couple of times he didn't know, he stated that and then found out the answer during a break. This is my second Flash course at Digitrain. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. It is evident that they are knowledgeable in their respective areas and have a desire that students learn as much as they can. Not only was the instructor an expert in Flash, but he was superior in his instructional abilities. I've taught college courses for twenty five years and have worked with or supervised well over 100 instructors. Tom was clearly in the top five percent. I found myself taking notes on his instructional techniques as well as on Flash. He drew all the students into the discussion, finding something encouraging to say even to the novice.
I walked into this class knowing nothing about Flash, and to be honest, I felt very intimidated about Flash and didn't feel it would be something I would pick up so quickly. While taking this class, I literally felt as if those mental brick walls of doubt and fear that I had built for myself had been torn down. I started to feel more secure about the product. I know there is much more to learn about Flash, but now I'm pretty excited to see what else is out there. There is no way I could have picked it up like this from just reading a book, using a CD-ROM training module, or online web-based training. The instructor-led course was imperative as it added many very important elements to the learning process. I not only recommend this course, but I also recommend the instructor. The training I received at Digital Training & Designs was excellent. I've taken courses on Macromedia products before at other schools, but this was by far the best. A lot of information was presented in a short period of time, but the organization of the content and the instructor's knowledge of and enthusiasm for the product made it easy to absorb the content. I anticipated this class would be quite difficult for me as I have no Web experience or experience with Flash. However, Tom not only took the time to answer more specific questions in detail during breaks, his initial explanations were so thorough and simple to follow that I never felt very far behind. This class was extremely informative and helpful, and I hope to be able to attend more in depth classes in the future. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, including the instructor. This is the third time I've been to Digitrain, and the first time I've had Tom as an instructor. It keeps getting better! He's so easy to follow and such a funny guy. He's made the class incredibly enjoyable.

All Adobe software programs are extremely dense with multiple approaches and tools to address any problem or issue or task, so it's up to the instructor to highlight the best and easiest approaches, and if he's also able to cite logical reasons for selecting to demonstrate and teach those methods, it's a real bonus. Really liked Tony, his presentation and the way he answered questions. He genuinely has a great passion for technology and teaching and it shows! He is very knowledgeable about all the products and was a great teacher.

Apple Final Cut

Tony,
I have been meaning to write to say how much I appreciated the training session I had on Final Cut Pro 6. I was there the week of September 11 for the intro and the effects classes. It came at just the right time, as I went back having a couple of projects on which I applied much of what I learned. I work at RSU Public TV, which is owned by Rogers State University, in Claremore OK. We're so short-handed right now, that we have all had to wear different hats. With what I learned from you, I was able to finish projects a lot more quickly. I had to come up with a promo and an open for a series we started called Perspectives. I used a lot of pieces of video and put them in boxes over a Jump Backs background, for the promo. Later I adapted it, improved it, and used it on the open. I couldn't afford the time to experiment a lot, so it helped that we'd done exercises with video in boxes.

I wanted to mention some other good things about the training. I appreciated the small class size. Even in a small class size, though, there were a lot of questions from a lot of people. I noticed you took the time to answer everyone, even staying after class. Also, your explanations worked well. I learned a new way to look at file formats & color. I'd just seen a podcast about that called MacBreak, and your take on it was actually better for me. The setup was terrific, with the iMac, and the monitor to see what you were doing. The facilities there are very nice, pleasant surroundings which helps a weary traveller/student. I think I mentioned it while I was there, but I liked the photographs on the wall, too. Oh, yes, and I don't want to forget your website. It's well set up, clear, and provided all the help I needed to set up the trip. Thank you especially for that.

One benefit I didn't expect was the confidence I got from it. The university has classes and they use Final Cut Express on 3 of the G5's. They keep running into problems, and I get called in to help. And I walk in feeling confident I can find an answer, thanks to what I learned at Digital Training Inc. And down in my two edit bays, we are getting our upgrades in: Final Cut Studio, max RAM, 3 TB of a raided HD, etc. We got an XD Cam HD camera, too. And Computing Services gave me admin priveledges on the macs. So I really needed those classes. They came at the right time.

Tnanks again for all your work in the classes. I'm hoping I can get down there, or send some of my production people down there for more training.

Joan did a wonderful job teaching to the level of the students. When we grasped the subject she moved forward. When we had questions she created extra time to address the topic to enhance understanding. The presentation was in a much more logical manner than the text Authorware Attain. The method was outlined in the Fundamentals lesson book yet the instruction brought out techniques to help production, emphasize quality and covered all topics listed in the fundamentals objectives. I look forward to using authorware to improve the lesson material that we have created. There are many opportunities to use this material. Joan was a well motivated instructor and did a wonderful job teaching this course. I look forward to the chance of taking future courses with Digital Training & Designs.

I've been to many training courses, but none have taught me more in such a short time as DTD did. I would always attend courses where the instructors were very ignorant of the materials, but DTD were experts in their knowledge of the software and its application. Great job guys!
