All our trainers are professional, full-time instructors who are CompTIA Certified Technical Trainers (CTT). From the CompTIA web site: CompTIA is the leading association representing the international technology community. Its goal is to provide a unified voice, global advocacy and leadership, and to advance industry growth through standards, professional competence, education and business solutions.
In addition, all instructors have the required Adobe or Apple certifications required for their particular specialties.
Tony Huet:
Tony is the Director of Training at Digital Training & Designs. Tony's vast experience in photography and videography inform his deep background knowledge of the industry. Having instructed for 15+ years, he has a genuine knack for relating to his students to discern their needs and to orient his classes to fill their skills and knowledge gaps. Tony is Adobe certified to teach Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Encore. He is Apple certified to teach Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, Color and Soundtrack Pro. In June of 2008 Tony earned his Master Trainer certification from Apple. Tony co-authored the book "Apple Pro Training Series: Motion 3" and worked with Adobe writing questions for the Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects certification tests.
Joan Hilbert:
Joan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and a Master of Arts degree in Training and Learning Technologies. In her twelve years of training at Digital Training & Designs, she has taught a variety of classes but currently teaches Adobe Dreamweaver, Cascading Style Sheets, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat. She also helped write the Dreamweaver Fundamentals Authorized Curriculum for Macromedia. Joan is Adobe certified to teach Adobe Acrobat, Adobe FrameMaker and Macromedia Authorware. She is also Adobe certified to teach Adobe Dreamweaver and Dynamic Dreamweaver. In June of 2008 Joan was ranked as one of the top five Adobe trainers worldwide.
Virginia Brodie:
Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts in Trade Technical Education. Her 20+ years of practical experience in all facets of print production give her industry-relevant knowledge and skills that flow to her students. Virginia has been training at Digital Training & Designs for eleven years and teaches Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and QuarkXPress. She is Adobe certified to teach Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator. In June of 2008 Virginia was ranked as one of the top five Adobe trainers worldwide. She also ranked in the top 5 in 2007.
Tom Edgar:
Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising Art Direction. With over ten years of Flash instruction behind him, Tom has unmatched expertise in Adobe Flash. In June of 2008 Tom was ranked as the number one Adobe trainer worldwide based on student evaluations. Tom has been with us for ten years, His uncommon and oft-praised rapport with students helps to put them at ease with subject material that otherwise might be imposing. Tom is certified by Adobe to teach any and all Flash, Flex, Fireworks, and Captivate classes currently on our schedule.
Max Miley:
Max is the Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the friendly face that greets you when you arrive to class.
Patti Schulze:
Patti is the founder and president of Digital Training & Designs. Patti's books on Macromedia products, including Fireworks, Dreamweaver and FreeHand, have been widely used and lauded for their usefulness and accuracy. Outside of work, Patti's passion is photography.

Tom was fantastic!! I really enjoyed taking his class, he was very engaging and kept everyone on task. He was honest about answering questions and the couple of times he didn't know, he stated that and then found out the answer during a break. I would be thrilled to take more classes with Tom in the future - I learned so much from him in this intro class!
All Adobe software programs are extremely dense with multiple approaches and tools to address any problem or issue or task, so it's up to the instructor to highlight the best and easiest approaches, and if he's also able to cite logical reasons for selecting to demonstrate and teach those methods, it's a real bonus. Tony did an admirable job of doing just that.
